Due to a silly mistake a while back the car is now a non runner.I overfilled the engine with oil and did not notice and drove around for a solid 15 minutes before noticing something was wrong.Engine started knocking so turned it off and got it towed to my local garage for further inspection.I dont know much about cars, they told me i had 2 options either an engine swap or rebuilt.They then said it will likely cost between £1-3k to fix (depending if rebuild or go for a reconditioned engine / block).
I postponed this at the time as my partner and I was expecting a little one. Had hopes of fixing this as soon as possible however never got round to it.
The car has now been sat at my garage for 2 and a bit years collecting dust. It’s a shame I can’t afford to fix it myself as I love the car.Went to the car to see if it still turns on despite being sat for so long and after a little jump start the car still turns on and drives.I can provide videos of the car starting and how the engine sounds on idle if necessary.
For someone who has the time, would make a good project or profit if you can do some of the work yourself.
Sensible offers please.
There is another minor issue that will need also fixing which is the passengers window regulator. The window rolls down but wont go up unless you manually force it up. This is a simple fix and new regulators are around £50.
